Our story
Charlie was a senior team member and shareholder at Tekmar, a company that floated in 2018, raising nearly £65 million. Following the IPO, he helped acquire multiple businesses into the group.
Looking to spend more time with family, Charlie relocated to Cheshire and focused on building a property investment portfolio spanning HMOs, commercial properties, and developments.
Jake worked as a digital lead at Barclays, supporting their banking app and website. He later joined FTSE 500 cybersecurity firms, specialising in post-acquisition integration and systems implementation. Eventually, he transitioned into property investment, mirroring Charlie’s journey.
Charlie and Jake met through property investing, realising they shared a complementary skill set and an ambition to build something bigger. They decided to create an investment group focused on sectors they knew well.
With a clear strategy, Charlie and Jake established FB Investment Group, focusing on acquiring and scaling businesses in property services and events. Their investment model prioritises stability, growth, and strong leadership.
FB Investment Group now operates across two key sectors:
Property Services – Investing in and scaling high-quality property-related businesses.
Events & Marketing – Acquiring and growing businesses that deliver impactful events and strategic marketing.
Unlike private equity firms, Charlie and Jake remain hands-on investors, working with founders to drive success without stripping away their company’s identity. Their approach is about partnership, not just profit.
